From field trial great, NAFC FC AFC Northernlights This Budsforu and out of our Triple Champion, ‘Ruby’, Diesel’s pedigree was a great combination of field and show.

Diesel reset the bar for ‘Excellence in Versatilty’ by earning an AKC Championship in five different venues. He had an amazing combination of drive, biddability, intelligence and athleticism that paved the way for him to succeed in such a wide variety of events.

He finished his OTCH as a three year old dog and went on to win over 20 High in Trials and nearly the same number of High Combined score awards. He was #1 Weimaraner in Obedience for many years running and earned the Seattle Kennel Club ’Top Obedience Team’ award twice.

In the field, he took a 2nd place in the Western Classic Field Futurity in his first trial at just 9 months old. He went on to win the WCA Mid America Classic Derby later that year. As a broke dog he won the WCA Western Classic Amateur Gun Dog and placed 4th in the Amateur Gun Dog at the WCA National Championship. He earned many all-breed wins and placements along the way and finished his Field Trial championship at age four.

He went on to complete his show Championship at age five, Champion Tracker at age six and Judi finished his Agility Championship at age eight.

When not competing, Diesel was a pleasure to have around the house. He was the kind of dog who could read your mind and was always aiming to please. Sharing a home with him was more like having good company than owning a dog.

Diesel is the sire of ‘Echo’, the ‘Ready’ litter, including 'Jackson’.and the ‘Bismarck’ litter, including ‘Quinn'. He lived with Anne who trained and handled him in field, obedience and tracking. Judi handled him in agility. He passed away on February 24th 2015 at the age of 12. He is great missed and will always be the BEST.DOG.EVER.
